Merry Christmas

Wishing all our guests, past and future, a great holiday season. We have survived the spell of nasty cold weather and it looks like we will miss the snow forecast for overnight. The turkeys are visiting the bird feeder again, joining the cardinals, blue jays, juncos and other birds. Hope y'all can stay for a visit.

Plan for New Year's Eve

The Cottage is available for New Year's Eve. We request a two-night minimum and a premium price, but you won't find anything like what we offer for your intimate New Year's Eve getaway. Your stay includes lots of extras (no, we can't provide Champagne or wine, but we do include non-alcoholic bubbly). I'll have the special Special page posted later tonight.

December 1st Update

We finally had our first snow, maybe an inch that mostly melted. Weather was beautiful over Thanksgiving, and we did some gallivanting - Boonville & Prairie Home on Thursday, Warrensburg & Sedalia on Friday, Clinton on Saturday. Friday we went in a bit after the rush and still picked up what I wanted at Office Depot.

Our biggest buy we made on Thursday, a 32" HDTV for the Cottage. It's really nice - and will be nicer once we have the Dish Network upgraded. I'll post here and update all the websites when it's ready to go in HD; meanwhile, it still offers a better picture than the old 27" SD. Also, I guess it's time to post our New Years, Valentine's & Super Bowl Specials.
